RIB Tour: Færder National park in two hours
This is our favorite RIB boat trip, where we give you an express experience in færder national park. We talk about what we see underway. We go to land on Færder lighthouse and talk about its history. We see many other small lighthouses and famous places in the Færder National Park
The tour goes one way or the other depending on the wind and waves. We put up so we run the most favorable swell when we are offshore to increase comfort for our passengers. If it is particularly choppy be we may have to change or shorten the trip to keep the schedule.
The trip has the following sights:
We start on Vallø, then bypass hovedinnseilingen Tonsberg at Jarlsø, continue past Fjærholmen, Hvaløy, Bjerrkøy continues on past Cool Holmen, Lindholm, Northern Årøy and Southern Årøy before we bow against Mågerø in Tjøme and shows where the king’s cottage. We continue past Burø and Mostein, Froungen and island of Ildverket, Bustein and Vass calf, before we drive slowly through Sandøsund and telling a little about Krukehavn (Possible with dining and tour surcharge). Then we can give in a little and sift us offshore between Cleavage No and Paint Cut lighthouse, before we go directly to the lighthouse Færder. On Lightship Lighthouse becomes disembarkation and guiding, and we often see seals here. We continue towards Store Færder and tells stories from there, and head then right onto Hollenderbåen Lighthouse on the last long offshore move, we put so bow against Fulehuk Lighthouses (Possible with tour surcharge), driving past cormorants seat, and then close and slowly catching up East Bolæren (Possible with dining and tour surcharge), Kongsten Sund, Mellem Bolæren, Jens Sund and Western Bolæren (Possible with dining and tour surcharge), until we are back in the harbor.
This is a short trip that takes about 2 hours (weather dependent) and is about 40 nautical mil long. We take time to one stop of about 30 min at Færder Lighthouse, besides that we drive slowly and quietly in many parties that we may enjoy the wonderful archipelago in Vestfold.
